What causes the Bad or missing input format error message?

Error in GEN_NUMUTIL_FormatNumber(): Bad or missing input format.

Cause

You are using a format mask in the MoveNum rule or a similar number handling rule that is either:

• missing required data or
• formatted incorrectly, such as commas and so on

Resolution

Review the documentation for the MoveNum rule in the Rules Reference to make sure you have the required format mask.
